.243 Cal 100 Gr. SBT GameKing

    , , ,
In rifles, this 100 grain #1560 Spitzer Boat Tail bullet with a heavy, double-tapered jacket ensures adequate penetration with reliable expansion on medium game. It is the boat tail counterpart to the flatbase #1540 Pro-Hunter bullet, but when ranges exceed 300 yards, the #1560 bullet is the choice for best downrange performance. This bullet is exceptionally accurate, and it may be used in 6mm cartridges, such as the 243 Winchester, 6mm Remington and magnums. It also is a very fine bullet for larger varmints at long ranges. For handguns, the 100 grain #1560 Spitzer Boat Tail bullet is too "hard" for use in the field on game, because it will not expand adequately at the moderate velocities attainable from all cartridges except the largest wildcats. This bullet will perform to outstanding levels in long-range target or silhouette competition from barrels with standard twist rates.

.243 Cal 85 Gr. HPBT GameKing

    , ,
For rifles chambered in 6mm cartridges, the #1530 85 grain hollow point boat tail bullet has proven to be highly effective on medium game, such as deer and antelope, and it is outstanding in this application. It is one of the best all-around bullets for rifles chambered in 6mm Remington or 243 Winchester. It is one of the most recommended bullets for varmints such as prairie dogs, groundhogs, coyotes, to medium game such as deer and antelope. Shooters using any rifle in the entire range of 6mm cartridges will find this to be an excellent bullet. This bullet shoots like a MatchKing and expands like a hunting bullet. In handguns, the 85 grain #1530 Hollow Point Boat Tail bullet is nearly ideal for all shooting applications. In cartridges from the 6mm BR up to the larger wildcats chambered in the Remington XP-100 and other strong single-shot handguns, this may be the best single bullet. When used with smaller-capacity cases at close range it would be suitable for varmints. This is a fairly "hard" bullet when fired from a handgun but a good choice for most applications and conditions.

.35 Cal 225 Gr. SBT GameKing

    , ,
For rifles, when Remington standardized the popular .35 Whelen wildcat cartridge, Sierra designed the 225 grain #2850 Spitzer Boat Tail bullet for the 35 Whelen and similar cartridges. This bullet has a heavy, double-tapered jacket drawn to very tight tolerances and a special alloy core for deep penetration and good expansion on heavy game. It also has the classic Sierra SBT shape for exceptional ballistic efficiency among 35 caliber bullets. This bullet delivers incredible accuracy and retains velocity and energy exceptionally well downrange. The flat trajectory extends the useful range of all appropriate 35 caliber cartridges and delivers smashing power even at long range. Although not suited for the 35 Remington cartridge, it is well matched to the more potent 358 Winchester and 350 Remington Magnum cartridges, as well as the 35 Whelen. In any of these cartridges, it is appropriate for all North American big game. In handguns, while the 225 grain #2850 Spitzer Boat Tail GameKing bullet is not recommended for hunting due to its extreme toughness, it is still useful to the handgunner. Those hearty silhouette shooters who can't get away from a favorite 357 Herrett or 35 Remington have a streamlined, high ballistic coefficient, low crosswind sensitivity bullet to use at 200 meters. This bullet can be fired at 1700 fps from a T/C Contender with a 10 inch barrel in 357 Herrett or 35 Remington, and it won't leave a ram standing. Also, it is capable of half minute-of-angle accuracy.
