    10 MM 150 GR. JHP

    150 Gr.
    0.4
    , , , , ,
These bullets are designed to meet even the most demanding shooter's needs. This bullet was introduced in 1988. They provide rapid, controlled expansion for defensive use or on game up to large varmints at ranges out to 100 yards. Their unique design also produces excellent accuracy for competitive events. The International Practical Shooting Confederation shooter needs only 1100 fps muzzle velocity with the 150 grain #8430 bullet to make "major." One also can use any of these bullets in an "old timer," the 38-40 Winchester (38 WCF), made popular in both single-action revolvers and rifles for Cowboy Shooting. However, these bullets are not legal for competition. Special provisions may be required for crimping (since these bullets have no cannelure for roll crimping) and expanding ball size in reloading dies for the 38-40. The #8430 was introduced in 1988. , , , ,
Designed for the 41 Remington Magnum revolver cartridge and introduced in 1970, these bullets made up one fifth of the total number of Sierra handgun bullets offered in that year. In 1984, the design was upgraded with the famous Sierra Power Jacket to make these excellent bullets even better. The 41 Remington Magnum cartridge and handguns chambering it have not become highly popular. Nevertheless, these true magnum bullets, which provide fast expansion and deep penetration on game, are suitable for all North American game normally hunted with a handgun. Shooters of 41 Action Express handguns will find these bullets very useful also, and should refer to the data section of Sierra Bullet's Rifle & Handgun Reloading manual for proper loads. .22 CALIBER 40 GR. HORNET

    40 Gr.
    0.224
    , , ,
For rifles, this bullet is formed with a thin-walled jacket and soft core in the traditional roundnose shape for cartridges such as the 22 Hornet, 22 K-Hornet, or 218 Bee at muzzle velocities in the 2600 to 2900 fps range. The thin jacket and rounded nose of this bullet provides outstanding accuracy and effective expansion on small varmints at these modest velocities. This bullet is ideal for barrels with 1x16" twist rates and muzzle velocities that require a "short" bullet for proper stability. It is also effective in rifles firing medium-capacity cartridges, such as the 222 Remington and 223 Remington, for target and varmint shooting at muzzle velocities up to 3500 fps. For handguns, this bullet with a thin jacket and lots of exposed lead are ideal for all centerfire cartridges in 22 caliber. It will range in expansion from being a varmint bullet at Hornet handgun velocities to an explosive "Blitz" style Varminter at 223 Remington velocities. The bullets with a round nose shape are capable of outstanding accuracy, especially at short to moderate ranges.

    6MM .243 CALIBER 55 GR. BLITZKING

    55 Gr.
    0.243
    , , , ,
For rifles, these bullets are designed for explosive expansion in varmints and small game and with accuracy characteristic of the MatchKing bullets. The nose tips of these bullets are made of a proprietary acetyl resin compound, and the sharp tips improve the ballistic coefficient over the traditional flatbase spitzer bullet design. The 55 grain #1502 has a flatbase. The jackets are thin for enhanced accuracy and explosive expansion, but are capable of withstanding high velocities. These bullets are designed to be fired at muzzle velocities up to 4000 fps. For handguns chambered in 6mm TCU, 6mm PPC, 6mm Benchrest Remington, these BlitzKing bullets are superbly accurate and have devastating expansion on varmints and small game at velocities achievable in these handgun cartridges in single-shot pistols. The #1502 was introduced in 1999.

    6MM .243 CALIBER 85 GR. SPT

    85 Gr.
    0.243
    , , ,
In rifles, this 85 grain Spitzer bullet has an excellent flat base design with high-velocity capabilities for all 6mm cartridges. This bullet features a rigidly controlled internal taper and jacket thickness engineered for expansion on varmints and small game. This game bullet is suitable for small deer and antelope, but it must be used with proper shot placement. In handguns, this bullet is too "hard" for use on field game because of limited velocities from all but the largest wildcat cartridges. However, this bullet delivers outstanding accuracy in long-range target competition and high momentum downrange for silhouette competition it works best in handgun barrels with standard twist rates.

.270 CALIBER 115 GR. HPBT MATCHKING

    115 Gr.
    0.277
    , , ,
Developed specifically for the 6.8mm SPC round, Sierra's 115 grain Hollow Point Boat Tail added yet another option to the entire range of .277" caliber cartridges. A good ballistic shape combined with relatively light weight provides terrific velocity potential. These features make the 115 gr. MatchKing® an ideal choice for target shooting at short to medium ranges. Suitable for cartridges from the 6.8mm SPC through the .270 Weatherby Magnum. While they are recognized around the world for record-setting accuracy, MatchKing® and Tipped MatchKing® bullets are not recommended for most hunting applications. Although MatchKing® and Tipped MatchKing® bullets are commonly used for varmint hunting, their design will not provide the same reliable explosive expansion at equivalent velocities in varmints compared to their lightly jacketed Hornet, Blitz or Varminter counterparts.

    , , ,
Customers have been asking us for years to make a 6.5 mm and 7 mm version of our very popular 30 caliber 165 grain HPBT GameKing and we are happy to say we have fulfilled that request. Just like their 30 caliber cousin, these bullets will be ideal for midsized game with standard and magnum calibers. The thicker jacket promotes deep penetration while the skives at the meplat provide reliable expansion.

    7 MM/.284 CALIBER 160 GR. HPBT

    160 Gr.
    0.284
    , , ,
The 160 grain #1925 Hollow Point Boat Tail is a true magnum bullet, being somewhat "tougher" than the #1920 for deeper penetration. Contrary to a usual assumption, this hollow point bullet is not particularly fragile. The nose opening is closed slightly to help retard initial upset, but even expansion is assured by four skives cut into the jacket. Of course, there is no exposed lead to be deformed in the magazine. The result is an excellent bullet for many big game applications. The 160 grain #1925 bullet is far too "hard" for hunting with a handgun. This bullet can be used in all 7mm cartridges for silhouettes and target shooting. The #1925 was introduced in 1988.
