.30 Caliber/7.62mm (.308) 110 gr. HP

There is only one 30 caliber Varminter rifle bullet in Sierra's line. This 110 grain #2110 Hollow Point also is the largest caliber Varminter bullet in Sierra's line. It will withstand exceptionally high velocities and can be loaded in all 30 caliber cartridges, including magnums. It is extremely accurate and has been used by some Hunter Benchrest competitors. It offers explosive expansion on varmints and small game at velocities achievable with the full range of 30 caliber cartridges. This is an ideal bullet to choose for off-season practice on varmints with any 30 caliber hunting rifle.

In handguns, Sierra's Hollow Point construction in the 110 grain #2110 bullet guarantees expansion, even at moderate velocity levels. Expansion will not be explosive but is acceptable for varmints and small game. Capable of extraordinary accuracy, this is an excellent light bullet for most 30 caliber single shot pistols.

The #2110 was introduced in 1958.

Started using this 110 gr. Back in 1991. My Ruger M77 Mk2 left handed bolt action absolutely loved it. 100 yards zeroed on the 4th shot and next shot went perfectly through previous shot. My best friend said I missed. $20 bet on the hood and I drove the nail into the tree that held the target. Best round in my 300 win mag ever!

Use these exclusively in my Ruger M77 7.62x39 (.308 bore diameter) for deer. I set the rifle up for my grandson because of mild recoil and then field tested it for him first. Results were three shots from 75-90 yards and three dead deer. Two dropped in place and one went 30 yrds. All shoot throughs with big exit holes.

I handloaded these for 300 Blackout for use in my AR-15. So far 2 deer down with them. First a buck at 15 yards. Quartered away. Bullet entered near the last rib and exited just behind opposite shoulder. Amazing liver and lung devastation. 60 yard run and dropped. Doe at 65 yards near identical damage. Pretty much destroyed liver and top of heart and both lungs. Bullet did not exit. Skin stopped it just behind the left shoulder. Bullet retained weight was 66 grains with at great mushroom and some jagged copper edges. The shock wave was awesome. Both these deer field dressed <100 lbs. I liked the fact that both opposite shoulders were not destroyed. 100% edible with good shot placement. Beware though of VERY minimal blood trail without a big exit hole. They didn't go far, but I had to search around as I had no trail to follow.

My first ever group with this bullet was .5. As that was the best group I have ever shot, up to this time, I stayed with the original load. I will go back and try to improve on this when time allows

A friend told me that these make a great little 30-06 round for prairie dogging, so I built a few, refined my recipe, and now my sporter deer rifle hits p-dogs as well as my 22-250 Heavy barrelled Varmint rifle!

Started loading this bullet in my 30.06 for varmints such as coyotes and ground hogs, when I was in my 20's I am 76 years old today. One dear season I grabbed them by mistake and went deer hunting with them have used nothing else for deer since then.

Initial testing in my Remmy SPS Varmint 26" 308 shot a nice 0.5 MOA node at 48.3gr of 2208, should get that down a little more with more testing/tweaking. Good price per 100 too, should make a great varmint load. Cheers

Bought by mistake, but tried them in a 30 Carb. with 14.0gr H110. How neat they were, good penetration, accuracy better then expected with a Carbine. 1 1/2 inches at 100 yards. Couldn't ask for more from a mistake.
