.270 Caliber (.277) 110 gr. SPT

For rifles, the 110 grain #1810 bullet was originally designed as a long-range varmint bullet. However, savvy shooters have long known that if impact velocity is kept to a reasonable level, this bullet is also effective on medium game. Superbly accurate, easy on the shoulder, fast and effective, it is ideal for large varmints and medium game at long range. Sierra's Spitzer design guarantees flat trajectory and dependable expansion. This bullet features double taper jacket construction for good penetration and dependable expansion on medium game.

For handguns, designed for fast rifle cartridges, this bullet is not suited to hunting situations at handgun velocities. The 110 grain #1810 bullet is best suited for target shooting or silhouette competition where "toughness" and the trademark Sierra accuracy are assets.

Most accurate bullet in my short-chambered Bergara B14 Timber 270 Winchester. 130gr boattails are too long for the throat in this rifle, and accuracy was just "ok." I needed a shorter bullet with better accuracy and this is it. I have reduced the velocity to around 2800fps using 60.5 grains of Retumbo with Federal 210 Match primers. COAL=3.195". I was afraid to run these faster because I didn't want to have them blow up on a shoulder bone, but after reading other reviews, I feel better about kicking it up a couple hundred fps. Groups are now around 1/2", so I may leave it alone. Using cheap Winchester cases. May switch to magnum primers and Lapua or Norma brass and leave it be. Haven't shot anything with them yet, but won't hesitate to use this load on deer and hog hunts. Oh, weight variation was next to none in this lot. Almost as good as lathe-turned match bullets.

The most accurate bullet in my 6.8 AR15. I tried a bunch. This one always outshot the others for accuracy so I used it to hunt with. Killed a few whitetail deer with it and probably 20+ hogs. I trust it so much that I headshot 11 hogs this Fall. They die right there.

I USED THIS BULLET IN A CUSTOM AR15 (BUILT AT HOME) FOR WHITETAIL THIS SEASON. THE RIFLE EASILY GROUPS INTO 5/8" @ 100 YARDS. MY ONE AND ONLY SHOT WAS AT 175 YARDS AND THE 8 POINT BUCK DROPPED ON TOP OF HIS TRACKS LIKE HE HAD HIS HOT WIRE YANKED OFF. VERY PLEASED IN EVERY ASPECT. 5 STARS.

This is a great bullet for my .270 Echo (.270CalBullet on a 250 Savage case ) using a Remington Pump Barrel cut down and rechambered to .270 Echo and barreled to 20" Gives about 3025 FPS with the 110 Gr bullet. It is a very satisfying combo. For Small to Medium Game. Regards Greg.

I was using these bullets loading for my 6.8 SPC, and they were very accurate 1/4 inch groups at 100 yards. I have killed several deer from 50 - 400 yards with these bullets and they performed very good. My favorite bullet for my 6.8 SPC. Thank You Sierra for great products at a great price.
