7 mm/.284 Caliber (.284) 160 gr. SBT

For rifles, the 160 grain #1920 Spitzer Boat Tail is a long-range big game bullet offering exceptional accuracy, good ballistic coefficient, flat trajectory, and high retained energies downrange. It can be used in all 7mm rifle cartridges, but is most useful in the magnums.

In handguns, only the 160 grain #1920 bullet is recommended for hunting, and only in cartridges like the 7mm-08 Remington that can push this bullet at a muzzle velocity of at least 2400 fps. The 160 grain #1920 bullet is a fine choice for handgun silhouettes and long-range target shooting, where superb accuracy, high momentum and low sensitivity to crosswinds are required downrange. This bullet can be used in all 7mm cartridges for silhouettes and target shooting.

After huge frustration to find a good load with some premium hunting bullets for my Sauer 202 Classic 7x64 this bullet turned the rifle into a real gem. Very accurate (as is the 165gr GK's in my 30-06) this rifle will now shoot 0.5" and less 5 shot groups at 200m at 2710 fps out of 22" barrel. Only saw afterwards on some forums that other 7x64 owners get very good accuracy with these 7mm 160gr GK's as well.

When I'm hunting elk in semi-open country where I might have a chance at a long shot, I will leave my trusty 30.06 with It's 220 grain Sierra round nose Pro-Hunters back in camp and tote my Vanguard 7mm Rem Mag with these 160 grain Game-Kings. If you can't get an elk with this round, better stay home!

Once again, Sierra 160 in my 7mm rem/mag put a gemsbuck bull down at 230m, one shot kill, best bullet ever will use nothing else.

Great bullet no complaints at all. I use these bullets when loading for my 7mm rem mag. Typical groups around .75' but have shot several groups under .50". Great all around big game bullet

One of the only SGKs that I have a mixed review of, while one of my 7mms will reliably shoot 3/4" groups with this bullet the other hovers in the 1.5" range though to be fair that rifle has yet to give me a sub MOA group with any bullet, and the Sierras performance was as good as any, I am only disapointed because it did not work like magic as it has done in all my other rifles. Cannot comment on this ones terminal performance since I use the 140gr SGK for my 7mms for hunting (they are great)

Once again, a top notch Sierra bullet. Great performance in silhouette and hunting. Worked wonderfully in the 7mm-08. Can’t be beat!
