.270 Caliber (.277) 130 gr. SBT

The 130 grain #1820 GameKing bullet is a boat tail partner to the 130 grain #1830 Pro-Hunter flatbase bullet, with both having Spitzer point shapes. Like its partner, the #1820 GameKing bullet has a double taper jacket construction for good penetration and dependable expansion on medium game, together with traditional Sierra accuracy. Accurate hunting rifles firing this bullet near maximum loads frequently give half minute of angle groups. The 130 grain #1820 SBT is well suited to long-range shooting where its high ballistic coefficient, flat trajectory, and excellent energy retention complement its inherent accuracy.

370 yard shot on a cow elk. Dropped her in her tracks. Took out both lungs and heart, found bullet in off front leg. Mushroomed out just like the pictures in magazines.

I have used this bullet in my reloading since 1970. My model 70 Winchester has taken dozens of whitetails and many more wild hogs with this bullet. All animals were shot through the lungs and were recovered. The bullet expanded, leaving a large wound cavity, and exited all animals shot.

Twelve bang flops in a row on whitetails. Plus it shoots MOA or better. Do you really need anything more?

This is THE best bullet for Deer and Pronghorn. We have used it for over 30 years with perfect results. Have used it in several .270's and one .270 WSM. The bullet is accurate on paper and deadly on game. IT JUST WORKS!

My 270 is spitting these at 3130fps with 55.7gn AR2209 (H4350), OAL 2.360", and into one hole, out of a cheap Vanguard S2 with a 24" barrel. Brilliant bullet!

The 130 gr Game King is my go to bullet for my 270 Weatherby. 3200 fps, col 3.25 has taken 75 + deer and hogs. The farthest I've tracked a deer ever is about 1 foot and hogs, maybe 1 step! Rifle is a custom Tikka / 23"barrel that shoots consistent sub moa groups.

I've been fortunate to shoot everything from eland to springbok with this bullet. Weight retention after retrieval was always 80% and more. Great expansion and very little meat loss.

I've reloaded, hunting mule deer and elk for 45+ yrs. I can't remember a single animal that wasn't taken with the wonderful 130 SBT mostly using H-4831 and CCI primers. The last group I shot was .47" using an old 700 I bought new. Thanks Sierra

Killed my first Whitetail deer in 1977 with my this bullet and my handloads. Perfect mushroom on a transverse lateral frontal shot. Recovered bullet under the skin near the last rib. It's my go to deer bullet for my 270 win rifles. Put a lot of venison in the freezer this bullet. Super accurate and if you can't find a sub-moa load with this bullet, it ain't the bullet's fault.

Shot a fantastic Red deer stag and a Fallow buck on a recent hunt in South Australia, both one shot kills. The combination of these projectiles, Norma brass and ADI AR2213SC powder has made this an extremely accurate load in My Sako that has performed flawlessly on countless pigs, and great accuracy at the range

I've killed 3 deer with my 270 Win using this bullet. I've been using factory off the shelf Federal Premium. I've never had to track a deer yet. Ranges were from 100yds to 200yds on all of the deer. Because of the accuracy of this bullet combined with my rifle, I'm very confident in it's performance. All deer were shot in the neck. They droped right where they were standing. Very confident in this bullet's performance.

Shot a 0.85 inch 3-shot group this morning at 200 yards (no wind). I am using 58.2 grains of RL-22 in Win cases, Fed 210 primers, with OAL of 3.25 inch in a Sako A7 rifle chambered in 270 Winchester. Two more weeks it's the rifle opener for deer in WA. I have the accuracy and I can't wait to see what it will do on a mule deer!

Harvested a nice pronghorn near Buffalo, WY with a Ruger #1-KBBZ with SS 26" barrel (1/4" groups @ 100 yds) and quartering away at 354 yards (laser). The buck dropped where it stood. Bullet devastated heart/lungs, destroyed off-shoulder and exited. Also have used on numerous whitetails with similar results. All one-shot kills. Excellent performance and highly recommend.
