.22 Caliber (.224) High Velocity 55 gr. BlitzKing

For rifles, this bullet is designed for explosive expansion in varmints and small game and with accuracy characteristic of the MatchKing bullets. The nose tips of the bullets are made of a proprietary acetyl resin compound, and the sharp tips improve the ballistic coefficient over the traditional flat-base Spitzer bullet design. The 55 grain #1455 has a boat tail to further increase ballistic coefficient compared to a flat-base design in these bullet weights. All the BlitzKing bullets in 22 caliber are designed to be fired at muzzle velocities up to 4400 fps.

For handguns, the BlitzKing bullets are especially effective in varmints and small game for the full range of centerfire cartridges in 22 caliber. They have outstanding accuracy, a flat trajectory and superb expansion in small animals even with the smaller-capacity cartridges. The 55 grain #1455 bullet are recommended for moderate-capacity cartridges, such as the 222 Remington and the 223 Remington in handguns.

The #1455 was introduced in 1999.

Blitzking's are the only varmint bullets I shoot. Accuracy is superb. My smallest 3 shot group was under .200" at 100 yards. One shot kills on groundhogs out to 500 yards. Very common to have no exit wound.

1/2 MOA with Varget. Safe for varminting in farm country. Sometimes no exit on coyotes, none have taken a step after a good shot. Affordable cost.

Typically produces one ragged hole groups at 100 yds for me, in front of Varget, with a Bushmaster Predator, 1-8" twist.
