7 mm/.284 Caliber (.284) 180 gr. HPBT MatchKing
The 7mm 180 grain HPBT MatchKing was created in response to requests from top-level F-Class shooters. Sierra has designed these MatchKing® bullets to provide a higher weight/higher B.C. alternative in our 7mm line. This bullet's 12 caliber secant ogive and lengthened boat tail make it the perfect choice for the discerning 7mm long range shooter.
While they are recognized around the world for record-setting accuracy, MatchKing® and Tipped MatchKing® bullets are not recommended for most hunting applications. Although MatchKing® and Tipped MatchKing® bullets are commonly used for varmint hunting, their heavier jackets will not provide the same reliable explosive expansion at equivalent velocities in varmints compared to their lightly jacketed Hornet, Blitz or Varminter counterparts.
This bullet requires a barrel twist rate of 1x8” or faster.

|The Sierra 7mm 180G Match Kings are fantastic bullets. I use them in long range rifle matches out to 1,000 yards. They are very accurate in my .284 F-Open rifle and hammer the 10-ring if I call the wind correctly. My highest score with them was a 195/200 - 11x at 1K yds. A great bullet at a great price.|

|I use these bullets in a Rem 700 with Shillen #7 bbl in 7mmRSAUM. I see a lot of .3" and .4" groups at 100 yds, Load development was relatively easy, these bullets do not seem to be finicky as far as OAL, etc. Flat shooting, great quality for a long range 7mm bullet.|
