.30 Caliber/7.62mm (.308) 150 gr. SPT
The 150 grain #2130 has the Sierra's unique double-tapered hunting jacket that has been field proven under all conceivable conditions. The 150 grain #2130 bullet is best suited to medium game. This bullet is extremely accurate, providing an undeniable edge in the game fields. Reliable expansion and deep penetration blended with Sierra's classic Spitzer flatbase profile makes these the bullets of choice with many 30 caliber riflemen.
For handguns, Sierra's Pro-Hunter design is generally considered too "hard" for all but the most powerful of the 30 caliber handgun cartridges. Handguns chambered for the 308 Winchester cartridge or cartridges of similar size can use these bullets over maximum hunting loads at short range. Due to their flat base design, Pro-Hunter bullets are an excellent choice for a cartridge with limited powder capacity and a short neck, because these bullets intrude into the powder space less than a boat tail.

I have used Sierra bullets for a good many years, but I just started using these specific bullets in my (1957) made Savage model 99- .300 savage. I am loading to a chronographed velocity of 2537fps and at the same time, shooting 0.697" groups at 100 yards with my rifle!! Thanks Sierra for another great product

Used these with recommend accuracy listing in the Lyman 49th edition with great results. 0.550" in my M700 30-06. Looking forward to using these for whitetail in Pennsylvania and Kentucky. Great bullet without gimmicks or gee-whiz features. Definitely my go-to bullet for now on. Thank you.

Used on 10 - 15 large Alberta white and mule deer at 3400FPS muzzle velocity, accurate and effective from close up to over 400 yds where the deer just tip over dead after being hit. Only recovered one bullet on off side under hide from a very large buck that was shot through the heart at 200 yds.

With 44gr. Varget I get 2700fps out of my .308 and excellent accuracy. Dropped a blacktail with one shot @ 80yds. Two thumbs up????

3/4 inch groups from unmodified Savage Hog Hunter at 100 yards. Since I am a lousy shot this bullet makes me look good.

I use these out of two different 308s. Both guns are very accurate with them and Varget powder. I shot last year's buck at about 110 yards, just catching the back of the onside shoulder but not in bone. He started to run but fell right there. Bullet exited behind the opposite shoulder. Excellent performance and very little meat loss.
