.22 Caliber (.224) 53 gr. HP Match

Sierra MatchKing BulletsFor rifles, the 53 grain #1400 bullet is of the conventional flat base design.

In handguns chambering cartridges in 22 caliber, the 53 grain #1400 MatchKing® bullets often deliver superior accuracy in target competition.

While they are recognized around the world for record-setting accuracy, MatchKing® and Tipped MatchKing® bullets are not recommended for most hunting applications.  Although MatchKing® and Tipped MatchKing® bullets are commonly used for varmint hunting, their design will not provide the same reliable explosive expansion at equivalent velocities in varmints compared to their lightly jacketed Hornet, Blitz or Varminter counterparts.

Have used the 53 grain Matchking in my heavy barrel, Howa 1500 since 1988 or so. I've won so many matches, especially turkey shoots, that I've lost count. One season I won six turkeys in one day with perfect 10x (100 points) scores. My loads: Federal cases, 26-27 grains of WW 748. You can't beat this bullet, in my opinion! !

My brother and I have shot 3000 hogs and 1000 deer with these bullets and have used them solely for the last 30 years. They are best driven at 3550 fps and are good out to 300 yds.Dont waste time and money, buy these now and see for youself.
