.284 Cal 197 Gr. HPBT MatchKing

    , ,
Sierra Bullets is proud to introduce a new addition to the legendary MatchKing® line. Shooters around the world will appreciate the accuracy and extreme long range performance of the 7mm 197 grain HPBT (#1997). A sleek 27 caliber elongated ogive and a final meplat reducing operation (pointing) provide an increased ballistic coefficient for optimal wind resistance and velocity retention. To ensure precise bullet to bore alignment, a unique bearing surface to ogive junction uses the same 1.5 degree angle commonly found in many match rifle chamber throats. While they are recognized around the world for record-setting accuracy, MatchKing® and Tipped MatchKing® bullets are not recommended for most hunting applications. Although MatchKing® and Tipped MatchKing® bullets are commonly used for varmint hunting, their design will not provide the same reliable explosive expansion at equivalent velocities in varmints compared to their lightly jacketed Hornet, Blitz BlitzKing, or Varminter counterparts. This bullet requires a barrel twist rate of 1x7.5” or faster. This bullet was introduced in January 2017.

    .20 Cal 39 Gr. BlitzKing

    , ,
For rifles, this bullet is designed for explosive expansion in varmints and small game and with accuracy characteristic of the MatchKing bullets. The nose tip of this bullet is made of a proprietary acetyl resin compound, and the sharp shape will improve the ballistic coefficient over the traditional Spitzer bullet design. The 39 grain BlitzKing #1039 has a boat tail. All the BlitzKing bullets in 20 caliber are designed to handle high muzzle velocities from cartridges like the 204 Ruger, and can easily handle velocities from others like the 20 Tactical and 20 Vartarg. This bullet was designed to be the perfect length and stabilize in the 204 Ruger's original 1-12" twist barrel. For handguns, the BlitzKing bullet is especially effective in varmints and small game for the full range of centerfire cartridges in 20 caliber. They have outstanding accuracy, a flat trajectory and superb expansion in small animals even with the smaller-capacity cartridges chambered in shorter barrels. The 39 grain #1039 bullet is suitable for those smaller cartridges, like the 20 Vartarg that is essentially a necked down 221 Fireball. The #1039 was introduced in 2005.

    .375 Cal 200 Gr. FN Pro-Hunter

    , ,
For rifles, this bullet is designed specifically for the 375 Winchester cartridge. It has Sierra's unique PowerJacket and provides outstanding terminal performance. Sierra's Power Jacket ensures positive but even expansion in conjunction with good penetration on medium to heavy game. The cannelure location is correct for crimping, and the flat point was designed for use in tubular magazines. This bullet is also very effective in the 375 H&H Magnum, but velocity should be kept around 2200 fps to avoid over-expansion in game. For handguns, although the bullet is designed for rifles chambered for the 375 Winchester cartridge, it quickly found a home in the 375 Super Magnum revolver. Thompson Center currently chambers the T/C Contender for the 375 Winchester as well. Designed for the modest velocities generated by 375 Winchester rifles, this bullet performs very well in a handgun. The large amount of exposed lead at the tip and the PowerJacket skiving assure quick, even expansion at all suggested velocities and ranges, making this bullet the best choice in this caliber for field use on game. Traditional Sierra accuracy assures success on medium to large game and silhouettes. The #2900 was introduced in 1987.

.284 Cal 100 Gr. HP Varminter

    , , ,
It has been said that a prairie dog shooter learns more about his rifle, cartridge and scope in one day than a deer hunter can learn in a lifetime. The 100 grain Hollow Point #1895 bullet allows off-season practice on varmints with any 7mm hunting rifle. This light, thin-jacketed bullet is exceptionally accurate, and the large hollow point makes it devastatingly effective on all varmints. Effective in cartridges ranging from the diminutive 7mm BR to the potent 7mm magnums, the lightweight of this bullet allows high velocity with low recoil for maximum enjoyment. It is accurate enough for use in Hunter Benchrest competition, and it is suitable for all standard 7mm barrel twist rates. In handguns, the 100 grain #1895 Hollow Point bullet is a light bullet for the varmint and small game hunter, and should be used for any application that requires certain expansion. This is the lightest 7mm caliber bullet currently available, and the high velocity coupled with Sierra's large hollow point makes it unbeatable for fast, reliable expansion and pinpoint accuracy. Although best restricted to coyote and smaller-sized game, it could be used for small deer with proper shot placement. It is too light weight for serious use for full-size silhouettes but excellent for other target applications. The #1895 was introduced in 1988.

.284 Cal 140 Gr. SBT GameKing

    , ,
For rifles chambered in 7mm cartridges, this bullet has the heavy, double-tapered Sierra jacket for hunting.. The #1905 bullet is recommended for all 7mm cartridges. It is an excellent choice as a lighter bullet in any of the 7mm magnum cartridges for use at medium to long ranges. In handguns, the 140 grain #1905 is considered too "tough" for smaller cartridges, such as the 7mm TCU and 7mm BR. However, this bullet is seeing much use in the Remington XP-100 chambered for the 7mm-08 Remington or in similar cartridge/handgun combinations for both target shooting and hunting applications. This bullet is a good choice when driven at 2500 fps or more for medium or large game at typical handgun ranges. Using this bullet for hunting is limited to muzzle velocities achievable with only a select few cartridge and handgun combinations, but no such restrictions apply to target use. This bullet can be used in all 7mm cartridges for target shooting.

For rifles chambered in 7mm cartridges, this bullet has the heavy, double-tapered Sierra jacket for hunting. The 150 grain #1913 Spitzer Boat Tail bullet is a little heavier and thus provides a high ballistic coefficient compared to the 140 grain bullet. It is an excellent choice as a lighter bullet in any of the 7mm magnum cartridges for use at medium to long ranges. Both bullets are superbly accurate and provide excellent expansion with good penetration on medium game at ranges to 500 yards. In handguns the 150 grain #1913 bullet is considered too "tough" for smaller cartridges, such as the 7mm TCU and 7mm BR. However, these bullets are seeing much use in the Remington XP-100 chambered for the 7mm-08 Remington or in similar cartridge/handgun combinations for both target shooting and hunting applications. .284 Cal 160 Gr. SBT GameKing

    , ,
For rifles, the 160 grain #1920 Spitzer Boat Tail is a long-range big game bullet offering exceptional accuracy, good ballistic coefficient, flat trajectory, and high retained energies downrange. It can be used in all 7mm rifle cartridges, but is most useful in the magnums. In handguns, only the 160 grain #1920 bullet is recommended for hunting, and only in cartridges like the 7mm-08 Remington that can push this bullet at a muzzle velocity of at least 2400 fps. The 160 grain #1920 bullet is a fine choice for handgun silhouettes and long-range target shooting, where superb accuracy, high momentum and low sensitivity to crosswinds are required downrange. This bullet can be used in all 7mm cartridges for silhouettes and target shooting.
