.45 Cal 300 Gr. JSP Sports Master

    , , ,
Designed for hunting, specifically for large bears, and for Handgun Metallic Silhouette competition with magnum calibers, this 300 grain #8830 Jacketed Soft Point bullet was introduced in 2004. Its construction ensures deep penetration on the largest game due to a heavy jacket and extremely hard 6% / 4% core. This is the heaviest bullet Sierra produces in the 45cal pistol lineup and should be used in a 45 Colt if penetration is a must, and it can work in the 454 Casull or similar cartridges easily. It has an established reputation in the game fields of North America and is considered to be the bullet for hunting dangerous game with a handgun. It is not, however, recommended for deer-size game because of its hardness. Because this bullet has a cannelure and can be roll-crimped, it may be loaded in cartridges and used in modern rifles with tubular magazines. When seated to the cannelure, this bullet can have an overall length that may not feed well in some lever action rifles with a shorter carrier. Recommended OAL of 1.650” in the 45 Colt and 1.755” in the 454 Casull.

10mm 165 Gr. JHP Sports Master

    , , , , ,
These bullets are designed to meet even the most demanding shooter's needs. This bullet was introduced in 1992. The International Practical Shooting Confederation needs only 1000 fps muzzle velocity with the 165 grain #8445 to make "major." These power factors are easily attained with the heavier bullets in the 10mm Auto or 40 S&W. One also can use any of these bullets in an "old timer," the 38-40 Winchester (38 WCF), made popular in both single-action revolvers and rifles for Cowboy Shooting. However, these bullets are not legal for competition. Special provisions may be required for crimping (since these bullets have no cannelure for roll crimping) and expanding ball size in reloading dies for the 38-40. To order by phone, please call 1-888-223-3006 *Sierra Bullets does not sell any loaded ammunition. What you are purchasing are bullets only and will need to be loaded into ammunition in order to be fired from a firearm. Prices, specifications and availability are subject to change without notice. .45 Cal 240 Gr. JHC Sports Master

    , , ,
The 240 grain #8820 Jacketed Hollow Cavity SportsMaster bullet was introduced in 1977 in response to requests for a "standard" weight bullet for the 45 Colt cartridge. The skived PowerJacket was added in 1984, making this bullet an excellent choice for 45 Colt vintage or modern handguns. Vintage models usually had a .454 inch diameter bore. However, modern Colt, Ruger, Smith & Wesson, Taurus, and most other handguns, including replicas of the Colt Single Action Army, will have barrels with a .451 inch bore. This bullet can be used in vintage 45 Colt handguns, but sizing cases may require special attention in older reloading dies. The 240 grain #8820 bullet has a cannelure for roll crimping, and it may be loaded into 45 Colt cartridges to be used in rifles with tubular magazines. This bullet is very effective for hunting because of the reliable expansion of the hollow cavity PowerJacket design and trademark Sierra accuracy. The reliable expansion characteristics of this bullet make it suitable for cartridges ranging from the 45 ACP up through moderate loads (up to 1400 fps) in the 454 Casull for either hunting or target competition. , , ,
This 230 grain #8815 Full Metal Jacket Match TournamentMaster bullet introduced in 1980, was designed to duplicate the positive feed and function of the "hardball" loads in the 45 ACP cartridge. As with all Sierra bullets designed for the 45 ACP, reliable feeding is an absolute requirement. Uncannily accurate and reliable in every way, this bullet is an outstanding all-around choice for the 45 ACP in the field or on the range. .20 Cal 39 Gr. BlitzKing

    , ,
For rifles, this bullet is designed for explosive expansion in varmints and small game and with accuracy characteristic of the MatchKing bullets. The nose tip of this bullet is made of a proprietary acetyl resin compound, and the sharp shape will improve the ballistic coefficient over the traditional Spitzer bullet design. The 39 grain BlitzKing #1039 has a boat tail. All the BlitzKing bullets in 20 caliber are designed to handle high muzzle velocities from cartridges like the 204 Ruger, and can easily handle velocities from others like the 20 Tactical and 20 Vartarg. This bullet was designed to be the perfect length and stabilize in the 204 Ruger's original 1-12" twist barrel. For handguns, the BlitzKing bullet is especially effective in varmints and small game for the full range of centerfire cartridges in 20 caliber. They have outstanding accuracy, a flat trajectory and superb expansion in small animals even with the smaller-capacity cartridges chambered in shorter barrels. The 39 grain #1039 bullet is suitable for those smaller cartridges, like the 20 Vartarg that is essentially a necked down 221 Fireball. The #1039 was introduced in 2005.
