The 140 grain #1910 Spitzer bullet has a heavy, double-tapered Sierra hunting jacket. It is superbly accurate, has excellent penetration and expansion on medium game, and is recommended for all 7mm cartridges. It is suggested for ranges out to 450 yards and is an excellent all-around hunting bullet.
In handguns, the 140 grain #1910 bullet is generally considered too “hard” for TCU size cartridges, but this bullet could be a good choice for large game, such as elk, when used in a Remington XP-100 handgun in 7mm-08 Remington or a similar handgun and cartridge at short ranges. Good ballistic shape and traditional Sierra accuracy make this bullet an excellent choice for all target work. The pinpoint accuracy of this bullet makes it a good choice for both varmints and target competition.

These bullets are designed to meet even the most demanding shooter's needs. This bullet was introduced in 1992. The International Practical Shooting Confederation needs only 1000 fps muzzle velocity with the 165 grain #8445 to make "major." These power factors are easily attained with the heavier bullets in the 10mm Auto or 40 S&W. One also can use any of these bullets in an "old timer," the 38-40 Winchester (38 WCF), made popular in both single-action revolvers and rifles for Cowboy Shooting. However, these bullets are not legal for competition. Special provisions may be required for crimping (since these bullets have no cannelure for roll crimping) and expanding ball size in reloading dies for the 38-40.

This 85 grain #8005 Round Nose SportsMaster bullet is for use in 30 caliber handguns only. The thin jacket and large exposed lead nose provide good expansion in varmints and small game at moderate handgun ranges when loaded and fired in cartridges, such as the 30 M1 Carbine and the 32-20 (in handguns with .308 inch bores for the 32-20 cartridge).
