In rifles chambered for either the 6mm Remington or 243 Winchester cartridge, this 80 grain #1515 Blitz bullet is dependably frangible and has no peer as a varmint bullet at velocities delivered by these cartridges. The Sierra Spitzer boat tail shape assures a flat trajectory, good resistance to crosswinds and vertical winds, and high-energy delivery even at extreme ranges. Built at the request of numerous varmint shooters, this bullet will bring out the best in both a shooter and his rifle for all varmint hunting applications.

Designed for the hunter requiring accuracy, penetration and dependable expansion from a 44 Remington Magnum revolver, Sierra introduced the 240 grain #8610 Jacketed Hollow Cavity SportsMaster bullets in 1970. These bullets were upgraded with Sierra's PowerJacket in 1982. The dependable Jacketed Hollow Cavity and PowerJacket design makes these bullets extremely versatile. They are true magnum bullets, featuring a heavy jacket and 1 1/2% antimony core, yet they will expand reliably at 44 Special velocities. These bullets are extremely effective on up to deer-size game. The 240 grain #8610 bullets are intended for larger, more tenacious game, but also are effective for deer-size game. Because these bullets have flat noses and cannelures, they may be roll-crimped for use in revolvers and all rifles with tubular magazines.

For rifles, this bullet is designed for explosive expansion in varmints and small game and with accuracy characteristic of the MatchKing bullets. The nose tips of the bullets are made of a proprietary acetyl resin compound, and the sharp tips improve the ballistic coefficient over the traditional flat-base Spitzer bullet design. This bullet has a boat tail to further increase ballistic coefficient compared to a flat-base design in these bullet weights. All the BlitzKing bullets in 22 caliber are designed to be fired at muzzle velocities up to 4400 fps.
For handguns, these BlitzKing bullets are especially effective in varmints and small game for the full range of centerfire cartridges in 22 caliber. They have outstanding accuracy, a flat trajectory and superb expansion in small animals even with the smaller-capacity cartridges. This bullet is recommended for moderate-capacity cartridges, such as the 222 Remington and the 223 Remington in handguns.

Our 400gr JSP #5400 has a cannelure placement ideally suited for use from a 500 Smith & Wesson cartridge. It has a tough lead core made with a heavy antimony and a thick jacket designed for deep penetration on the largest of animals. Large game like moose or brown bear won’t be any issue for this bullet, but it may be too tough to give a reliable expansion quality through smaller animals. Revolvers have been the primary firearm to load this bullet into but it is equally at home in rifles chambered in this and other cartridges also. The meplat is wide enough to work well from a lever action using a tubular magazine, and because of the higher muzzle velocity, it will give a better expansion quality also. On that subject, it is literally a half inch hole even with no expansion and will take game animals with authority.
