Our 25cal 90gr BlitzKing #1616 was built for rapid expansion on small to medium thin-skinned vermin. This performance comes from a precision made, thin match jacket, the same performance BlitzKings are known for in other diameters. The addition of the boat tail combined with the shape of the nose gives it a high BC, in fact it is just shy of our 100gr MatchKing. It has proven to be an excellent shooter, capable of match accuracy from a wide variety of cartridges. It even has potential from the 25-45 Sharps, provided the magazine length is long enough for it to fit correctly.

In 1984, the design was upgraded with the famous Sierra Power Jacket to make these excellent bullets even better. The 41 Remington Magnum cartridge and handguns chambering it have not become highly popular. Nevertheless, these true magnum bullets, which provide fast expansion and deep penetration on game, are suitable for all North American game normally hunted with a handgun. These bullets are designed to meet even the most demanding shooter's needs. This bullet was introduced in 1988. They provide rapid, controlled expansion for defensive use or on game up to large varmints at ranges out to 100 yards. Their unique design also produces excellent accuracy for competitive events. The International Practical Shooting Confederation shooter needs only 1100 fps muzzle velocity with the 150 grain #8430 bullet to make "major." One also can use any of these bullets in an "old timer," the 38-40 Winchester (38 WCF), made popular in both single-action revolvers and rifles for Cowboy Shooting. However, these bullets are not legal for competition. Special provisions may be required for crimping (since these bullets have no cannelure for roll crimping) and expanding ball size in reloading dies for the 38-40.
The #8430 was introduced in 1988.

There are many different 9mm cartridges in the world, but not all of them use bullets of .355 inch diameter. Be sure that the handgun cartridge for which you are loading uses .355 inch diameter bullets.
The 90 grain #8100 was originally introduced in the hollow cavity (JHC) design in 1970, but the design was changed in 1983 to the current hollow point (JHP) to enhance feeding in semi-auto pistols. Sierra's Power Jacket with skives enhances expansion in varmints at handgun velocities. Pure lead is used for the core to give good penetration with excellent expansion. The 90 grain #8100 is an excellent bullet for the 380 ACP and can be loaded in that cartridge to excellent velocities for high energy release and effective self defense.
