For rifles in 6mm caliber, deadly Hollow Point construction and legendary Sierra accuracy combine to make this bullet an outstanding choice for most varmint hunting. Designed for high velocities, the bullet features a gaping hollow point to ensure positive expansion even at long range. Capable of outstanding accuracy from a wide variety of 6mm rifle cartridges. For handguns, as the Varminter name implies, these are excellent varmint and small game bullets. The Varminter construction lends itself well to the velocities attainable with cartridges such as the 6mm TCU, 6mm PPC and 6mm BR. This Sierra bullet features precision accuracy and are best utilized at short to medium ranges for varmints and small game. The #1510 was introduced in 1956.

For rifles, this high-velocity bullet is designed to give precision accuracy with the explosive expansion of Sierra's Varminter-style construction. Although the bullet may prove to be somewhat "hard" at Hornet velocities, it can be extraordinarily accurate at these lower velocity levels. For handguns, although this bullet is of hollow point construction, we cannot recommend them for hunting purposes. This bullet should be considered for ranges in excess of 125-150 yards. Also works very well as a target bullet. The #1385 was introduced in 1984.

For rifles, this is a high-velocity bullet designed to give precision accuracy with the explosive expansion of Sierra's Varminter-style construction. This bullet is at its best when fired from the larger-capacity cartridges, such as the 22-250 or 220 Swift in rifles with barrels having 1x14" twist rates, stabilizing easily for excellent long-range accuracy and effective expansion. Normally, 1x12" or faster twist rates work best for medium-capacity cases, such as the 223 Remington. These bullets are excellent for long-range varmint hunting. For handguns, although this bullet is of Hollow Point construction, we cannot recommend it for hunting purposes. This bullet has been very successful on half-size NRA Silhouette targets. The #1375 was introduced in 1984.

It has been said that a prairie dog shooter learns more about his rifle, cartridge and scope in one day than a deer hunter can learn in a lifetime. The 100 grain Hollow Point #1895 bullet allows off-season practice on varmints with any 7mm hunting rifle. This light, thin-jacketed bullet is exceptionally accurate, and the large hollow point makes it devastatingly effective on all varmints. Effective in cartridges ranging from the diminutive 7mm BR to the potent 7mm magnums, the lightweight of this bullet allows high velocity with low recoil for maximum enjoyment. It is accurate enough for use in Hunter Benchrest competition, and it is suitable for all standard 7mm barrel twist rates. In handguns, the 100 grain #1895 Hollow Point bullet is a light bullet for the varmint and small game hunter, and should be used for any application that requires certain expansion. This is the lightest 7mm caliber bullet currently available, and the high velocity coupled with Sierra's large hollow point makes it unbeatable for fast, reliable expansion and pinpoint accuracy. Although best restricted to coyote and smaller-sized game, it could be used for small deer with proper shot placement. It is too light weight for serious use for full-size silhouettes but excellent for other target applications. The #1895 was introduced in 1988.
