.45 Cal 300 Gr. JSP Sports Master

    , , , ,
Designed for hunting, specifically for large bears, and for Handgun Metallic Silhouette competition with magnum calibers, this 300 grain #8830 Jacketed Soft Point bullet was introduced in 2004. Its construction ensures deep penetration on the largest game due to a heavy jacket and extremely hard 6% / 4% core. This is the heaviest bullet Sierra produces in the 45cal pistol lineup and should be used in a 45 Colt if penetration is a must, and it can work in the 454 Casull or similar cartridges easily. It has an established reputation in the game fields of North America and is considered to be the bullet for hunting dangerous game with a handgun. It is not, however, recommended for deer-size game because of its hardness. Because this bullet has a cannelure and can be roll-crimped, it may be loaded in cartridges and used in modern rifles with tubular magazines. When seated to the cannelure, this bullet can have an overall length that may not feed well in some lever action rifles with a shorter carrier. Recommended OAL of 1.650” in the 45 Colt and 1.755” in the 454 Casull.

.264 Cal 107 Gr. HPBT MatchKing

    , , ,
The 6.5mm/.264 inch bore has recently enjoyed a resurgence of interest. Several rifle manufacturers currently produce 6.5x55mm sporters, exposing a new generation of shooters to this famous old Scandinavian service and hunting cartridge. Competitive HighPower and Silhouette shooters have also shown great interest in the 6.5mm bore size. The 107 grain 6.5mm HPBT bullet #1715 is the lightest of the 6.5mm MatchKing®. It is appropriate for the magnum cartridges as well as smaller capacity cartridges in this caliber. While they are recognized around the world for record-setting accuracy, MatchKing® and Tipped MatchKing® bullets are not recommended for most hunting applications. Although MatchKing® and Tipped MatchKing® bullets are commonly used for varmint hunting, their design will not provide the same reliable explosive expansion at equivalent velocities in varmints compared to their lightly jacketed Hornet, Blitz or Varminter counterparts.

The 120 grain #1725 bullet is designed for BenchRest and HighPower competitions to 600 yards in medium capacity 6.5mm rifle cartridges. In handguns, the 120 grain #1725 MatchKing® bullet has been very successful on the silhouette range and has proven itself on other targets. Because of its high ballistic coefficient, it delivers high momentum downrange and has low sensitivity to crosswinds. It has been the choice of handgun shooters worldwide. While they are recognized around the world for record-setting accuracy, MatchKing® and Tipped MatchKing® bullets are not recommended for most hunting applications. The 6.5mm 123 grain Hollow Point Boat Tail (1727) was designed to fill the gap for a mid-weight, high B.C. bullet for the ever-increasing 6.5mm long-range crowd. This bullet is a popular choice for long-range target and Silhouette customers. Keeping the long-range design in mind, we built this bullet with a longer ogive, smaller meplat and improved boat tail to preserve downrange efficiency, enhance accuracy, and reduce wind-drift. While they are recognized around the world for record-setting accuracy, MatchKing® and Tipped MatchKing® bullets are not recommended for most hunting applications. .264 Cal 100 Gr. HP varminter

    , , ,
Suitable for all 6.5 cartridges and extremely effective on all sizes of varmints, the #1710 is a great choice for the 264 Winchester Magnum. Quarter minute of angle accuracy is quite common, even from the 264 magnum cartridges. It is equally accurate in cartridges with smaller case capacities. For handguns, both bullets are excellent choices for TCU size cartridges and target or varmint applications. The 100 grain #1710 can be used for up to medium-sized game. Shooters will enjoy these bullets' excellent accuracy, but will find them too light for full-size silhouettes. The #1710 was introduced in 1960.

    .264 Cal 120 Gr. SPT Pro-Hunter

    , , ,
The Spitzer shape of this 120 grain #1720 bullet assures excellent downrange performance and precise accuracy. This bullet will perform well at longer ranges on medium game from the 264 Winchester Magnum and the 6.5x284 cartridges, but it will be too fragile for close-range shots. It is an excellent all-around bullet for smaller capacity 6.5mm cartridges. While this bullet is generally considered too "hard" for handgun hunting situations, the 120 grain #1720 bullet would be a good choice for medium game at short ranges. It is best used in 6.5mm cartridge cases with powder capacity equal to the 223 Remington or larger and loaded to maximum velocities. This 120 grain bullet gives the handgunner target accuracy suitable for all target applications, including full-size handgun silhouettes.
