.50 Cal 400 Gr. JSP Sports Master

    , , ,
Our 400gr JSP #5400 has a cannelure placement ideally suited for use from a 500 Smith & Wesson cartridge. It has a tough lead core made with a heavy antimony and a thick jacket designed for deep penetration on the largest of animals. Large game like moose or brown bear won’t be any issue for this bullet, but it may be too tough to give a reliable expansion quality through smaller animals. Revolvers have been the primary firearm to load this bullet into but it is equally at home in rifles chambered in this and other cartridges also. The meplat is wide enough to work well from a lever action using a tubular magazine, and because of the higher muzzle velocity, it will give a better expansion quality also. On that subject, it is literally a half inch hole even with no expansion and will take game animals with authority. This bullet was introduced in 2004. To order by phone, please call 1-888-223-3006 *What you are purchasing are bullets only and will need to be loaded into ammunition in order to be fired from a firearm. .50 Cal 350 Gr. JHP Sports Master

    , , , ,
Our 350gr JHP #5350 was designed for use in the 500 Smith & Wesson with a cannelure placement ideally suited for this cartridge. It was designed with a large, deep hollow point to create expansion, for personal protection from vermin with ill intent, but it has since proven to be an accurate and tough bullet that hunters have come to rely on. They’ve been using this bullet successfully on a wide variety of animals from wild boar to big bears. Because it has such a wide meplat, it will also work safely from a tubular magazine if you happen to have one chambered in the 500. The faster velocity produced from a rifle length barrel will also give it the possibility of an expansion quality on pigs and whitetail sized game. This bullet was introduced in 2004. 44 Cal 300 Gr. JSP Sports Master

    , , , ,
Designed for hunting, specifically for large bears, and for Handgun Metallic Silhouette competition with magnum calibers, this 300 grain #8630 Jacketed Soft Point bullet was introduced in 1989. Its construction ensures deep penetration on the largest game due to a heavy jacket and extremely hard 6% antimony core. This is one of the heaviest bullets Sierra produces and should be used in a 44 Magnum, 445 Super Mag, or a similar cartridge. It has an established reputation in the game fields of North America and is considered to be the bullet for hunting dangerous game with a handgun. It is not, however, recommended for deer-size game because of its hardness. Because this bullet has a cannelure and can be roll-crimped, it may be loaded in cartridges and used in modern rifles with tubular magazines. When seated to the cannelure, this bullet will have an overall length that does not feed well in lever action rifles. Recommended OAL of 1.735" in 44 Magnum. To order by phone, please call 1-888-223-3006 *Sierra Bullets does not sell any loaded ammunition. What you are purchasing are bullets only and will need to be loaded into ammunition in order to be fired from a firearm. Prices, specifications and availability are subject to change without notice. .30 Cal 125 Gr. HP/FN (30-30)

    , ,
In rifles, this bullet was designed for the venerable 30-30 Winchester cartridge, and features a jacket tailored specifically to 30-30 velocities. The cannelure on each bullet is precisely located to provide the proper over-all-length (OAL) for fast, trouble-free feeding. The bullet weight performs admirably on deer-sized game and is suitable for varmints as well. PowerJacket construction assures reliable expansion with good penetration. Though designed for the 30-30 cartridge, the use of these bullets is not restricted to that cartridge. In fact, these bullets are very effective in any 30 caliber cartridge if a muzzle velocity level of 2500 to 2600 fps is not exceeded. In handguns, this bullet is suitable for some cartridges because they were designed for the velocities of the venerable 30-30 Winchester cartridge. Specifically, this bullet is suitable for any handgun cartridge that will produce 2200 to 2500 fps at the muzzle. They are suitable for all game, from varmints to large game, such as elk, if the bullet weight is matched to game weight. These are short-range bullets due to their nose design and will be suitable only when maximum ranges do not exceed 125 to 150 yards. Sierra's unique Power Jacket design assures uniform bullet upset and expansion at this velocity level with traditional Sierra accuracy.
