9mm 90 Gr. JHP Sports Master

    , , , , ,
There are many different 9mm cartridges in the world, but not all of them use bullets of .355 inch diameter. Be sure that the handgun cartridge for which you are loading uses .355 inch diameter bullets. The 90 grain #8100 was originally introduced in the hollow cavity (JHC) design in 1970, but the design was changed in 1983 to the current hollow point (JHP) to enhance feeding in semi-auto pistols. Sierra's Power Jacket with skives enhances expansion in varmints at handgun velocities. Pure lead is used for the core to give good penetration with excellent expansion. The 90 grain #8100 is an excellent bullet for the 380 ACP and can be loaded in that cartridge to excellent velocities for high energy release and effective self defense. To order by phone, please call 1-888-223-3006 *Sierra Bullets does not sell any loaded ammunition. What you are purchasing are bullets only and will need to be loaded into ammunition in order to be fired from a firearm. Prices, specifications and availability are subject to change without notice. .45 Cal 240 Gr. JHC Sports Master

    , , ,
The 240 grain #8820 Jacketed Hollow Cavity SportsMaster bullet was introduced in 1977 in response to requests for a "standard" weight bullet for the 45 Colt cartridge. The skived PowerJacket was added in 1984, making this bullet an excellent choice for 45 Colt vintage or modern handguns. Vintage models usually had a .454 inch diameter bore. However, modern Colt, Ruger, Smith & Wesson, Taurus, and most other handguns, including replicas of the Colt Single Action Army, will have barrels with a .451 inch bore. This bullet can be used in vintage 45 Colt handguns, but sizing cases may require special attention in older reloading dies. The 240 grain #8820 bullet has a cannelure for roll crimping, and it may be loaded into 45 Colt cartridges to be used in rifles with tubular magazines. This bullet is very effective for hunting because of the reliable expansion of the hollow cavity PowerJacket design and trademark Sierra accuracy. The reliable expansion characteristics of this bullet make it suitable for cartridges ranging from the 45 ACP up through moderate loads (up to 1400 fps) in the 454 Casull for either hunting or target competition. To order by phone, please call 1-888-223-3006 *Sierra Bullets does not sell any loaded ammunition. What you are purchasing are bullets only and will need to be loaded into ammunition in order to be fired from a firearm. Prices, specifications and availability are subject to change without notice. .264 Cal 100 Gr. HP varminter

    , , ,
Suitable for all 6.5 cartridges and extremely effective on all sizes of varmints, the #1710 is a great choice for the 264 Winchester Magnum. Quarter minute of angle accuracy is quite common, even from the 264 magnum cartridges. It is equally accurate in cartridges with smaller case capacities. For handguns, both bullets are excellent choices for TCU size cartridges and target or varmint applications. The 100 grain #1710 can be used for up to medium-sized game. Shooters will enjoy these bullets' excellent accuracy, but will find them too light for full-size silhouettes. The #1710 was introduced in 1960.

    .264 Cal 120 Gr. SPT Pro-Hunter

    , , ,
The Spitzer shape of this 120 grain #1720 bullet assures excellent downrange performance and precise accuracy. This bullet will perform well at longer ranges on medium game from the 264 Winchester Magnum and the 6.5x284 cartridges, but it will be too fragile for close-range shots. It is an excellent all-around bullet for smaller capacity 6.5mm cartridges. While this bullet is generally considered too "hard" for handgun hunting situations, the 120 grain #1720 bullet would be a good choice for medium game at short ranges. It is best used in 6.5mm cartridge cases with powder capacity equal to the 223 Remington or larger and loaded to maximum velocities. This 120 grain bullet gives the handgunner target accuracy suitable for all target applications, including full-size handgun silhouettes.

    303 Cal 150 Gr. SPT Pro-Hunter

    , , ,
These bullets utilize the nominal 30 caliber dimensions common to the martial arms of several foreign entities. Most of these have found their way to the United States as either war trophies or were imported as military surplus in recent years. These include the British Lee-Enfields, the late-war Japanese Arisakas, the Russian Moisin-Nagants, SKS and AK-47s and their various clones from former Soviet bloc countries. The cartridges associated with these weapons are the 303 British, the 7.7mm Arisaka, the 7.62x54R and, of course, the ubiquitous 7.62x39mm. Most of these guns use a .311" diameter projectile but it is prudent to slug the bore if any doubt exists. Given the wartime production conditions and occasionally questionable pedigrees of some of these rifles, this procedure is a worthwhile investment. Many of these rifles are capable of delivering decent accuracy and are powerful enough to serve for use on big game. This bullet adds some much needed versatility to these often overlooked but very capable cartridges for hunting. Positive feed characteristics are required for all semi-automatic rifles using the 7.62x39mm cartridge, and Sierra's profiled ogive point shape provides flawless functioning. The 150 grain #2300 has Sierra's unique double taper heavy jacket and Spitzer profile. They have excellent accuracy, together with deep penetration and excellent expansion on medium and large game. The Spitzer shape provides a flat trajectory and high energy delivered downrange. These bullets are suitable for all of the larger .311 inch diameter service cartridges, such as the 303 British, 7.7mm Arisaka and 7.65mm Mauser.
