.22 Cal 80 Gr. HPBT MatchKing

    , , ,
Designed for Service Rifle competition in the M16A2/AR-15A2, our 22 caliber bullets have set an incredible number of new national records. With the introduction of the 80 grain #9390, the M16 family of rifles really became a force to be reckoned with in National Match competition. Because of its extreme length, the 80 grain MatchKing® requires a twist rate not slower than 1x8 inches. However, it must be seated to an OAL that requires single loading in the M16/AR-15 series. While they are recognized around the world for record-setting accuracy, MatchKing® and Tipped MatchKing® bullets are not recommended for most hunting applications. Although MatchKing® and Tipped MatchKing® bullets are commonly used for varmint hunting, their design will not provide the same reliable explosive expansion at equivalent velocities in varmints compared to their lightly jacketed Hornet, Blitz or Varminter counterparts. This bullet requires a barrel twist rate of 1x8” or faster.

.30 Cal 200 Gr. HPBT MatchKing

    , , , ,
MatchKings® are the pride of the Sierra bullet family, unmatched worldwide and truly world class in all respects. Competitive shooters have relied on the consistent accuracy of Sierra's MatchKings® for decades, resulting in a history of state, national and world records that is the envy of our competitors. Where heavy Sierra MatchKings® had dominated for a decade or more, the lighter 200 grain set a new standard. Not surprisingly, it has been an excellent choice for National Match competitors as well. Sierra MatchKing® bullets have set the standards worldwide for consistent accuracy in handguns as well as rifles. Since the introduction of the high performance Remington XP-100 and similar handguns chambering larger rifle cartridges, all 30 caliber MatchKings® have been used in handgun silhouettes and long-range target competitions. Sierra's famous MatchKing® design assures superb accuracy, flat trajectory, and high momentum delivery with low sensitivity to crosswinds at all ranges. While they are recognized around the world for record-setting accuracy, MatchKing® and Tipped MatchKing® bullets are not recommended for most hunting applications. Although MatchKing® and Tipped MatchKing® bullets are commonly used for varmint hunting, their design will not provide the same reliable explosive expansion at equivalent velocities in varmints compared to their lightly jacketed Hornet, Blitz or Varminter counterparts.

    .30 Cal 195 Gr. TMK

    , , ,
Sierra has enhanced a segment of the MatchKing line by adding the acetal resin tip, thus crowning the Tipped MatchKing (TMK) bullet line. The major advantage of adding a tip to the bullet is the reduction of drag, producing a more favorable ballistic coefficient. Since the release of the popular Tipped MatchKing (TMK) line, we have been asked many times for a heavier version than the 30 caliber 175 gr Tipped MatchKing (TMK) #7775 and we have answered that request with the 195 gr Tipped MatchKing (TMK) bullet. This bullet is an excellent choice for F-Class (F-TR) matches and various other competitions. The #7795 was introduced in November 2016. This bullet requires a barrel twist rate of 1x10” or faster.

The 30 caliber 210 grain HPBT bullet was created in response to the increasing demands of long range shooters. With its drag minimizing design, this bullet is a popular choice with 1000 yard shooters. Keeping the long-range design in mind, we built this bullet with a longer ogive, smaller meplat and improved boat tail to preserve downrange efficiency, enhance accuracy, and reduce wind-drift. While they are recognized around the world for record-setting accuracy, MatchKing® and Tipped MatchKing® bullets are not recommended for most hunting applications.
