    .243 Cal 55 Gr. BlitzKing

    , , ,
For rifles, these bullets are designed for explosive expansion in varmints and small game and with accuracy characteristic of the MatchKing bullets. The nose tips of these bullets are made of a proprietary acetyl resin compound, and the sharp tips improve the ballistic coefficient over the traditional flatbase spitzer bullet design. The 55 grain #1502 has a flatbase. The jackets are thin for enhanced accuracy and explosive expansion, but are capable of withstanding high velocities. These bullets are designed to be fired at muzzle velocities up to 4000 fps. For handguns chambered in 6mm TCU, 6mm PPC, 6mm Benchrest Remington, these BlitzKing bullets are superbly accurate and have devastating expansion on varmints and small game at velocities achievable in these handgun cartridges in single-shot pistols. The #1502 was introduced in 1999.

The nose tips of the bullets are made of a proprietary acetyl resin compound, and the sharp tips improve the ballistic coefficient over the traditional flat-base Spitzer bullet design. The 55 grain #1455 has a boat tail to further increase ballistic coefficient compared to a flat-base design in these bullet weights. All the BlitzKing bullets in 22 caliber are designed to be fired at muzzle velocities up to 4400 fps. For handguns, the BlitzKing bullets are especially effective in varmints and small game for the full range of centerfire cartridges in 22 caliber. They have outstanding accuracy, a flat trajectory and superb expansion in small animals even with the smaller-capacity cartridges. The 55 grain #1455 bullet are recommended for moderate-capacity cartridges, such as the 222 Remington and the 223 Remington in handguns. The #1455 was introduced in 1999.

.22 Cal 53 Gr. HP MatchKing

    , , ,
For rifles, the 53 grain #1400 bullet is of the conventional flat base design. In handguns chambering cartridges in 22 caliber, the 53 grain #1400 MatchKing® bullets often deliver superior accuracy in target competition. While they are recognized around the world for record-setting accuracy, MatchKing® and Tipped MatchKing® bullets are not recommended for most hunting applications. Although MatchKing® and Tipped MatchKing® bullets are commonly used for varmint hunting, their design will not provide the same reliable explosive expansion at equivalent velocities in varmints compared to their lightly jacketed Hornet, Blitz or Varminter counterparts.

    .284 Cal 160 Gr. TMK

    , ,
Sierra has enhanced a segment of the MatchKing line by adding the acetal resin tip, thus crowning the Tipped MatchKing (TMK) bullet line. The major advantage of adding a tip to the bullet is the reduction of drag, producing a more favorable ballistic coefficient. Another benefit is reliable feeding in magazine fed firearms. The #7660 was introduced in November 2015.

.284 Cal 197 Gr. HPBT MatchKing

    , ,
Sierra Bullets is proud to introduce a new addition to the legendary MatchKing® line. Shooters around the world will appreciate the accuracy and extreme long range performance of the 7mm 197 grain HPBT (#1997). A sleek 27 caliber elongated ogive and a final meplat reducing operation (pointing) provide an increased ballistic coefficient for optimal wind resistance and velocity retention. To ensure precise bullet to bore alignment, a unique bearing surface to ogive junction uses the same 1.5 degree angle commonly found in many match rifle chamber throats. While they are recognized around the world for record-setting accuracy, MatchKing® and Tipped MatchKing® bullets are not recommended for most hunting applications. Although MatchKing® and Tipped MatchKing® bullets are commonly used for varmint hunting, their design will not provide the same reliable explosive expansion at equivalent velocities in varmints compared to their lightly jacketed Hornet, Blitz BlitzKing, or Varminter counterparts. This bullet requires a barrel twist rate of 1x7.5” or faster. This bullet was introduced in January 2017.
