9mm 90 Gr. JHP Sports Master

    , , , , ,
There are many different 9mm cartridges in the world, but not all of them use bullets of .355 inch diameter. Be sure that the handgun cartridge for which you are loading uses .355 inch diameter bullets. The 90 grain #8100 was originally introduced in the hollow cavity (JHC) design in 1970, but the design was changed in 1983 to the current hollow point (JHP) to enhance feeding in semi-auto pistols. Sierra's Power Jacket with skives enhances expansion in varmints at handgun velocities. Pure lead is used for the core to give good penetration with excellent expansion. The 90 grain #8100 is an excellent bullet for the 380 ACP and can be loaded in that cartridge to excellent velocities for high energy release and effective self defense. To order by phone, please call 1-888-223-3006 *Sierra Bullets does not sell any loaded ammunition. What you are purchasing are bullets only and will need to be loaded into ammunition in order to be fired from a firearm. Prices, specifications and availability are subject to change without notice. .50 Cal 400 Gr. JSP Sports Master

    , , ,
Our 400gr JSP #5400 has a cannelure placement ideally suited for use from a 500 Smith & Wesson cartridge. It has a tough lead core made with a heavy antimony and a thick jacket designed for deep penetration on the largest of animals. Large game like moose or brown bear won’t be any issue for this bullet, but it may be too tough to give a reliable expansion quality through smaller animals. Revolvers have been the primary firearm to load this bullet into but it is equally at home in rifles chambered in this and other cartridges also. The meplat is wide enough to work well from a lever action using a tubular magazine, and because of the higher muzzle velocity, it will give a better expansion quality also. On that subject, it is literally a half inch hole even with no expansion and will take game animals with authority. This bullet was introduced in 2004. To order by phone, please call 1-888-223-3006 *What you are purchasing are bullets only and will need to be loaded into ammunition in order to be fired from a firearm. .50 Cal 350 Gr. JHP Sports Master

    , , , ,
Our 350gr JHP #5350 was designed for use in the 500 Smith & Wesson with a cannelure placement ideally suited for this cartridge. It was designed with a large, deep hollow point to create expansion, for personal protection from vermin with ill intent, but it has since proven to be an accurate and tough bullet that hunters have come to rely on. They’ve been using this bullet successfully on a wide variety of animals from wild boar to big bears. Because it has such a wide meplat, it will also work safely from a tubular magazine if you happen to have one chambered in the 500. The faster velocity produced from a rifle length barrel will also give it the possibility of an expansion quality on pigs and whitetail sized game. This bullet was introduced in 2004. .243 Cal 95 Gr. HPBT MatchKing

    , , ,
The 6mm 95 grain Hollow Point Boat Tail bullet was designed to fill the need for a lighter weight alternative to the Sierra 6mm 107 MatchKing. This bullet is a popular choice for across the course and long range target customers. Sierra built this bullet off our ever popular 6mm 107 HPBT MatchKing design with a long ogive, small meplat and improved boat tail to preserve downrange efficiency, enhance accuracy, and reduce wind-drift. While they are recognized around the world for record-setting accuracy, MatchKing® and Tipped MatchKing® bullets are not recommended for most hunting applications. Although MatchKing® and Tipped MatchKing® bullets are commonly used for varmint hunting, their design will not provide the same reliable explosive expansion at equivalent velocities in varmints compared to their lightly jacketed Hornet, Blitz or Varminter counterparts. This bullet requires a barrel twist rate of 1x9” or faster. The #1537 was introduced in 2008.

.264 Cal 123 Gr. HPBT MatchKing

    , , ,
The 6.5mm 123 grain Hollow Point Boat Tail (1727) was designed to fill the gap for a mid-weight, high B.C. bullet for the ever-increasing 6.5mm long-range crowd. This bullet is a popular choice for long-range target and Silhouette customers. Keeping the long-range design in mind, we built this bullet with a longer ogive, smaller meplat and improved boat tail to preserve downrange efficiency, enhance accuracy, and reduce wind-drift. While they are recognized around the world for record-setting accuracy, MatchKing® and Tipped MatchKing® bullets are not recommended for most hunting applications. Although MatchKing® and Tipped MatchKing® bullets are commonly used for varmint hunting, their heavier jackets will not provide the same reliable explosive expansion at equivalent velocities in varmints compared to their lightly jacketed Hornet, Blitz or Varminter counterparts.

.243 Cal 110 Gr. HPBT MatchKing

    , ,
Shooters around the world will appreciate the accuracy and extreme long range performance of our new 6mm 110 grain HPBT (#1575). A sleek 27 caliber elongated ogive and a final meplat reducing operation (pointing) provide an increased ballistic coefficient for optimal wind resistance and velocity retention. To ensure precise bullet to bore alignment, a unique bearing surface to ogive junction uses the same 1.5 degree angle commonly found in many match rifle chamber throats. While they are recognized around the world for record-setting accuracy, MatchKing® and Tipped MatchKing® bullets are not recommended for most hunting applications. Although MatchKing® and Tipped MatchKing® bullets are commonly used for varmint hunting, their design will not provide the same reliable explosive expansion at equivalent velocities on varmints compared to their lightly jacketed Hornet, Blitz or Varminter counterparts. The #1575 was introduced in December 2016. This bullet requires a barrel twist rate of 1x7” or faster.
