Congratulations to our very own Barry Brock for completing the 2022 Missouri American Water MR340 – “Home of the world’s longest non-stop river race!” This year was the 17th annual race.

Part of the Sierra family showed up to cheer Barry on.

The MO 340 is an endurance race that challenges competitors to brave 340 miles of river in 85 hours. The race runs down the Missouri River from Kansas City to St. Charles. There are nine checkpoints along the route. Failure to sign in before the cutoff time means disqualification.

Barry said, “I paddled the MO American Water 340 on July 12-15, 2022. 340 miles in less than 85 hours non-stop. I paddled a kayak in the men’s Division, boat #0914. My time was 64 Hours 9 minutes and 39 seconds, leading to an overall finish of 53 out of 202 in the Men’s Division and 120 out of 475 overall. This was my fifth time doing the race and first time as a cancer survivor.”

Congratulations Barry! We’re proud of you.
